Dear Hallen Family, Customers and Friends,
On Thursday evening, December 18, 2008, I announced that, after 28 years as Hallen’s CEO, I was stepping down effective January 1, 2009 and on that date President and COO Robert Meschi would assume the role of CEO. At the same time, I announced that Shepard Poole would replace Bob as COO and President.
I will retain the title of Chairman and in this role I will support this dynamic duo in any way they may need me to do so.
Along with appointments of Bob and Shep, I also announced the elevation of Senior Vice President Michael Hickey to the position of Executive Vice President of Construction Operations and Senior Vice President Pascale (Pat) Ambrosio to Executive Vice President of Engineering and Estimating.
This team has over 75 years of dedicated service to the Company and I know they will carry on the 80 year tradition that has made Hallen a premier contractor in the construction industry we service.
The management at Hallen is pleased to announce the promotion of Ken Biondi to the position of Assistant Vice President of Estimating and Engineering.
In this capacity, Mr. Biondi has responsibilities for the project and construction management for the contracts he is assigned that include the costs, safety, schedule, productivity, and quality of performance to complete the work at hand. Additionally, he has responsibilities for the preparation of cost estimates, change orders, task orders, proposal writing, and schedule preparation for bids and projects in the utility, construction and environmental industry.
With more than 39 years of project management and estimating experience in the general construction and utility construction fields, Mr. Biondi is highly qualified to assume his new position.
The management at Hallen Construction is proud to announce the celebration of Hallen’s 80th year anniversary.
Hallen Construction is a leader in the heavy construction industry, specializing in pipeline, bridge & viaduct, and telecommunication construction. The company also has formed Hallen Environmental Services, an environmental remediation contractor focused on providing cleanup services.
The management of Hallen Construction recently announced the formation
of Hallen Environmental Services, an independent company established to
provide a dedicated staff and focus for environmental site clean-up projects.
As a privately-held remediation and environmental site services firm, Hallen
Environmental Services (HES) delivers its full strategic and tactical support,
including administrative and site staff, equipment and other resources
to accomplish nearly any remediation and hazardous waste cleanup service.
Hallen’s commitment to full-service construction is expanded with the formation
of HES. The use of HES by Hallen clients provides a reliable, cost-effective
and safe solution to many environmental remediation concerns.
